413 To all People to whom these Presents shall Come— Greeting Whereas I, Jonathan Perry of South Kingstown in the County of Washington and State of Rhode Island Yeoman Not having Money to me in hand in Consideration of the Sum of Fifty Pounds of lawful Money to me in hand before the subscribing witnesses full and Sufficient Proof by William Harvey of the between us in the County and State aforesaid Signatures the Receipt Whereof I do hereby acknowledge and myself herewith satisfied & contented & Therefore of owing part Parcel of my House & Homestead against discharging the said William To his & theirs only proper Use, Benefit, & Behoof, for ever, and I the said Jonathan Perry for myself my Heirs Exec[utors] Admt[inistrators] do Covenant promise & Grant Agreed with the said William Harvey his heirs & assigns that he for the Purchasing hereof I am the True Sole & Lawfull Owner of the above Bargained Premises & am Lawfully Seized & possessed of the same in my proper right as a good perfect & absolute Estate of inheritance suffice[nt] & take in myself gold full Power & Lawfull auth[ority] only to Grant Bargain Sell convey & confirm said Bargained premises in manners aforesaid and that the said William Harvey his heirs & assigns shall and from time to time & all Times forever hereafter by force and Virtue of these Presents Lawfully Peaceably and Quietly have hold up Use Occupy Possess & enjoy the said Demised & Bargain Premises with the appurtenances free & Clear & freely & Clearly acquitted Conveyed & Discharged of from all & other all manner of other gifts grants Bargains Sales Leases mortgages wills Entails Pointer Decrees Judgments Executions or incumbrances of What Name or Nature however that Might in any Measure or Degree Obstruct or make Void the Same And furthermore I the said Jonathan Perry for myself my heirs Exec[utors] & Admt[inistrators] do covenant and Engage the above Demised premises to him the said William Harvey his heirs & assigns against all Lawfull claims Demand of any Person or Persons Whatsoever forever hereafter to warrant Seize & Defend by these Presents & morey the Wife of the said Jonathan Perry doth by these Presents freely & willingly give up & surrender all her right of Power and power of Mind of the above Granted Premises unto him the said William Harvey his heirs & assigns In Witness whereof the said Jonathan Perry & mercy his wife have set unto these their Hands & Seal the thirtieth Day of April in the Year of Our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred & Eighty Two In Presence of Saml Perry Thos. Be it known to all Persons to whom these Presents shall come That the General Assembly of the State of Rhode Island assent at their Session held in Newport in said State on the Second Monday of June AD 1702, granted a lottery for the disposing of the Real Estate of George Hazard Wickham lying in Charlestown in the County of Washington, and did appoint Immanuel Case & Samuel Seagar Es- quires & Samuel Potter Gentleman of South Kingstown in y County of Washington, and William Davis of Newport in the County of Newport Esquires Directors for the furtherfull management of the same, And Whereas the said George Hazrd Wickham did by his certain Deed poll bearing date the sixth day of February in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty three give Grant bargain Sell alien and convey & confirm unto the aforesaid directors in trust all his houses Land Buildings & appurtenances lying in said Charlestown, to be appropriated to and for the use of those who should be fortunate in the Draw of y Lottery, to have and to hold said Land & premises with all the privileges & appurtenances to the same belonging or appertaining to them the said for the use aforementioned- Now Know ye that Thomas Lena Wensor, James Smith & John Aldrich all of Smithfield in the County of Providence Yeoman were jointly and equally Named & holders of the
