Know all Men by these Presents that I Samuel Gardner Governor of
Charlestown, in the County of Washington and State of Rhode Island & Providence, and
Charlestown, in his right, HAVE for and in Consideration of the sum of seven hundred
and twentyfive Dollars to me in hand well and truly paid by Joseph Wright of
Charlestown, Gentleman, the Right where of we hereby acknowledge and concede
the same fully, Satisfied Content and paid. Do by these Presents Give, Grant Barg
Sell, Alien, Enfeoff Convey Confirm and Convey unto the said Joseph Wright
and to his Heirs and Assigns forever, the Farm where on we reside, or were resident,
of the Town of Charlestown the property of Christopher Obadiah as was assigned to
us in the Division of the East Field, together with the Lot of Wood where on it stood,
and around it including a part of the Barn Yard assigned to us as aforesaid,
with all the privileges and Appurtenances thereunto belonging for himself
HEIRS and to hold it to hold it, and to his Heirs and Assigns also for himself and their
successors and hereafter & Behalf forever, And we the said Samuel Gardner
& Elizabeth Gardner his lawfully wedded wife covenant with the said Joseph Wright
that we will warrant the Execution hereof against the true, sole and rightful owner of
