Know all Men by these presents that I Bowen Briggs of Charlestown in the County of Washington, State of Rhode Island for and in Consideration of the sum of Fifty Dollars to me paid by Benjamin W Millcott of village of Charlestown the receipt of which I do hereby acknowledge, in hereby remise, release and forever quit claim unto the said Benjamin and his heirs and assigns whoever they are the whole of certain lot of the north meadows lying in said town and known in the said town as Bowens lot in the north meadows lying in said town and known formerly as the Benjamin Briggs north marsh, containing in the whole fifty acres or thereabouts, bounded on the north by the property of Abraham Moore on the South by the Charlestown Pond, and on the East by the Division line made by the committee and Commissioners for the purpose of division and marked by stone escapes to the north purpose, and on the West by the said Abraham Moore I do grant and hold to hold the same to him the said Benjamin W Millcott his heirs and assigns forever In Witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this 23d day of March 1839 Bowen Briggs (Seal) In presence of Samuel Stanton Samuel Stanton Thomas Hubb.
