Know all Men by these presents that I Bowen Briggs of Charlestown in the County of Washington, State of Rhode Island for and in Consideration of the sum of Fifty Dollars to me paid by Benjamin W Millcott of said Charlestown the receipt of which I do hereby acknowledge, in hereby remise, release and forever quit claim all the right title and interest which I have in the lot of land containing about 13 rods measured lying south of the main road called Easttown road in the lot marked number lying in said town and formerly known as the Benjamin Briggs property marchio, containing in the whole forty acres more or less, Bounded on the North by the property of Amy Hurlbut on the South by the Charlestown Pond, and on the East by the Division line made by the Surveyor and Commissioners for the purpose of division and marked by stone escapes to the north purpose, and on the West by the same. I do here and to hold the same to him the said Benjamin W Millcott his heirs and assigns forever In Witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and Seal this 23d day of March 1839 Bowen Briggs (Seal) In presence of Samuel Stanton Samuel Stanton Thomas Hubb.
