M Hopkinson on the 31st day of January 1849 personally appeared Charles D Peckham, subscriber, sealer of the foregoing Instrument, and acknowledged the same to be his free act and deed. Before me, Chris L. Lewis, Townclerk. Recorded april 21st 1849 p 334 by William H. Terry Clerk. Know all men by these presents that we Daniel J. Peckham and William P. Arnold of North Kingstown, county of Washington and s of Rhode Island, for and in consideration of the sum of Three thousand and certain Dollars to be paid by Robert D Peckham an and William K Peckham of North Kingstown, county of Washing ton state aforesaid, the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge edge, have remised, released, and forever quit claimed, and these presents do remise, release and forever quit claim unto them the said Robert D Peckham and William K Peckham and their heirs and assigns forever, all the said lots, rights, interests, per claim and demands we have or may have a right of entry to a claim in and to a certain tract of land lying in in Charlestown aforesaid containing by estimation 111 acres both, the same runs more or less, and a Homestead located in said town known as Chapman's land, southerly on lands of Philip Peckham, westerly on lands of Peter Peckham and easterly on lands of namely D Daniel Peckham and northerly on the road Daniel Peckham's land To Have and to hold the same with all the rights, priv leges and appurtenances thereunto appertaining to them the said Robert D Peckham and William K Peckham and their heirs and assigns forever. And we the aforementioned Daniel J. Peckham and William P. Arnold for our dwelling and for our heirs, executors and ad ministrators, do covenant unto the said Robert D Peckham and William K Peckham, their heirs and assigns, that we will warrant and defend the above described premises, to the said granting their heirs and assigns forever, against the lawful claims and demands of all heirs claiming to Title through, or under us. And I Margaret S. Peckham, wife of the said Daniel J. and Amy Arnold, wife of the said William P. in con sideration of above mentioned, do hereby quit claim all our right of dower and in the said granted premises unto them the said Robert D Peckham and William K Peckham and their and assigns forever. Peckham of Charlestown in the County of Washington and State of Rhode Island, in consideration of Ten Thousand and Eighteen Dollars to be paid by Daniel P. Peckham and William P. Arnold of Bristol in the County of Bristol in the State aforesaid, the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge, release and forever quit claim unto them the said Daniel P. Peckham and William P.
