State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantation.
On General Assembly, January session 1842. Upon the Petition of
John Onion of Charleston, one of the Manasquanette tribe of Indians
Voted and Resolved, that his said hands be hereby authorized to sell
all his right, title and interest in and to a piece of land lying in Town of Coventry
being twenty acres more or less said adjoining land sold by Moses Stanton jr
to John Henry Morey and Providence all around by land of the white people
of said Town and the queue a street in said Town. Provided the said hands be
at Rhode Island while the Duration of the Election of Governor. He shall execute
the Proceedings of the sale and after paying the expenses of the proceedings the
balance shall inure to his benefit in such manner as he shall deem
most for the interest of the Petitioner. By Ezra Moore

Whereas the General Assembly of the State of Rhode Island and
Providence Plantation, at their Ordinary session held at Providence on
January 1842 witnessed, that John Onion one of the Manasquanette tribe of
Indians to sell all his rights in a piece of land in the Town of Charlestown
at Fullers Lake under the above and direction of Eldred R. Potter, referred
back to the institution of their General Assembly, and whereas said land
was sold on the 19th day of April 1842. The following acknowledgments said lot
to Fullers Lake and to John Henry Morey of said Charlestown him being the highest
bidder for said lot the sum of four hundred and fifty dollars their attorney’s fee
