653 QUITCLAIM DEED KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: that Edward Wilcox Babcock and Fannie S. Babcock his wife of the City of Troy, County of Rensselaer and State of New York for consideration paid, 150.00 more or less grant to Edmund A. Sayer his heirs and assigns of Providence, County of Providence, R. I. with QUIT-CLAIM COVENANTS That certain real estate situated in Town of Charlestown, County of Washington in the State of Rhode Island, and described as follows: "A certain tract or parcel of land situated in the Town of Charlestown, Washington county in the State of Rhode Island is- land, being part of a much larger part called known as called Sowons Island, situated between the years 1795-1795, and at that time being entirely surrounded by water, and also called "Sowons Island" since 1795, and since 1795 and since 1795 has been called "Wilcox Island", Wilcox Hill or Governors Island, con- taining five hundred and five acres more-or-less (505) acres more or less; bounded southerly by tide water in Charlestown Pond and by low land now owned by heirs of Jonas S. Kenyon and by tide water by the land of the heirs of James S. Kenyon and by tide water in Charlestown Pond, northerly by land formerly a part of said Sowons Island and now claimed by, and in the possession of Leah Trompette and others, easterly by tide water in Charlestown Pond, and easterly by tide water in Charlestown Pond, or however bounded." And I, Fannie S. Babcock wife of the grantor for consideration paid, and other valuable consideration paid, release to said grantee all my right of dower and all other interest in the aforesaid premises WITNESS our hands this 8th day of September 1834.
