KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That I, Emma C. Akers, of the Town of
Charlestown, County of Washington and State of Rhode Island, widow, for consideration
paid, grant to Edward C. Duhamel of East Providence, County of Providence and State of
Rhode Island with WARRANTY COVENANTS,
That certain lot or parcel of land situated in the Town of Charlestown,
County of Washington and State of Rhode Island, and bounded and described as follows, &
to-wit:
Beginning at a large stone post in the ground, said post
being on the southerly side of the Post Road, so called, at the
northerly corner of the southern lot of land herein conveyed thence
running in a southeasterly direction by a line marked by nail with said Post Road
a distance of four hundred seventeen and one-half (417½) feet,
more or less, to a drill hole in the stone wall; thence south
easterly in a straight line to a stone post set in the ground,
a distance of seventy-one (71) feet, more or less thence in a
continuation of the line aforesaid to a point, which point is on the water's edge
Cove; thence turning and following the bank or shore of said
Water Cove in a northwesterly direction to a point, which point is in
the line of a stone and wall stone wall to the line of Isaac T. Prosser;
thence running said line of stone wall in the same direction and following
in a northerly direction a distance of forty-eight (48) feet,
more or less, to a stone post set in the ground; thence following
stone walls thence more or less in the same direction and following
stone walls thence a line of said stone wall a distance of two hundred sixty-
and fifty-three more or less to the point and place of
beginning.
Said lot or parcel of land is bounded on the north by the Post
Road, on the west by other land of this grantor, on the south by
said Foster's Cove and on the east by land of Isaac T. Prosser.
