I, ERNEST R. BERESFORD, of the Town of Narragansett, County of Washington, State
of Rhode Island for consideration paid, grant to CHARLES C. BLISS, of the Town of State
Kingstown, County of Washington, State of Rhode Island, with MORTGAGE COVENANTS, to secure
the payment of EIGHT HUNDRED (800) DOLLARS in five (5) years with interest at six (6) per
centum, per annum, payable semi-annually not in advance as provided in a certain negotiable
promissory note of every date herewith.
That certain real estate situated in Charlestown, County of Washington in the
State of Rhode Island, and described as follows:
A certain tract or lot of land, together with the buildings and improvements
thereon, situated in the Town of Charlestown, County of Washington, State of Rhode Island,
laid out and delineated as Lot Number 39 (thirty-nine) on that plat entitled, "Sea Lot
Colony in Charlestown and South Kingstown, R. I. Property of N. R. Y. Behnke, Numbered
Lots Represent Area of Sea Lot Colony, Surveyed and Platted 1931, 1934, 1936, 1937, 1938,
Leon L. Loond, Civil Engineer, Scale 1" = 80" which plot is recorded in the Records of
Land Evidences in said Town of Charlestown. Meaning and intending to hereby convey one of
the lots of land conveyed to this Grantor by deed from Marie Rose Yvonne Behnke by deed
dated March 3, 1935 and recorded in the Records of land evidence, said Town of Charlestown,
in Book 27 at Pages 257 and 258. This conveyance is subject to the rights, privileges,
benefits and restrictions contained in aforementioned deed.
This mortgage is made upon the STATUTORY CONDITION and with THE STATUTORY POWER
OF SALE.
I, CORA K. BERESFORD wife of the mortgagor, release to the mortgagees all my
right of dower and all other interest in the aforementioned premises.

In Charlestown on the 9th day of March 1938 before me personally appeared
Ernest R. Beresford and Cora K. Beresford, husband and wife, both to me known and known by
me to be the parties executing the foregoing instrument, and they acknowledged said instru-
ment, by them executed, to be their free act and deed.

I, the undersigned, having received full payment and satisfaction of the above mortgage,
recorded in the records of land evidence in the Town of Charlestown in the State of Rhode
Island, in Real Estate Mtg. Book No. 27 at page 288 hereby cancel and discharge the same.
and I consent to and with the person making said payment that I am the present owner of
said mortgage. IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 17th day of
March 1949.
