I, A. RAYMOND MEIKLE, of the Town of Westerly, County of Washington, State of
Rhode Island, for consideration paid, grant to LEON M. GRINNELL and PEARL M. GRINNELL,
husband and wife, and to the survivor of them and unto the survivor of them and the heirs and assigns of said sur-
vivor, as joint tenants tenants and not as tenants in common, both of the Town of Charlestown,
County of Washington, State of Rhode Island, with MORTGAGE COVENANTS, to secure the payment
of NINETEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS ($1900), in ten (10) years with interest at six (%) 6 per centum,
per annum, payable semi-annually in advance, beginning August 15th, 1939, as provided in a
certain negotiable promissory note of date hereon date written.
That certain real premises site, together with the buildings and improvements thereon,
situated in said Town of Charlestown, bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the southeasterly line of the highway, at the
northeasterly corner of the hereby conveyed tract, where the easterly line of
said tract abuts the highway; thence running southeasterly line of said highway,
thence southerly seventy-five (75) feet; thence turning and running easterly
thirty-five pounds and one hundredths one (35.01) feet to said Isaac Wilson,
bounding easterly and southerly as aforesaid, come Home H. Deboer; thence turning southeasterly
northerly following the easterly line of land of Isaac Wilson sixty-four and
forty-one hundredths (64.41) feet; thence easterly on land of Isaac Wilson sixty-four and
forty-one hundredths (64.41) feet; thence northerly on land of Isaac Wilson sixty-four and
forty-one hundredths (64.41) feet; thence northerly forty-five and one hundredths (45.01) feet to
the southeasterly line of the highway, bounding easterly on the highway; bounding
easterly land of Isaac Wilson; bounding northerly on the highway; bounding
of said highway seventy-five and forty-five one hundredths (75.45) feet to the
place of beginning; bounding northerly on the highway; bounding westerly otherwise
bounded and described.
Together with the right-of-way to the Mortgagees, their heirs and assigns, in common with the Mortgagees his heirs and assigns, from said
public highway to the Atlantic Ocean, over a strip of land three (3) feet wide;
all sums and amounts stipulated in the mortgage deed dated March 24, 1939, and recorded in the
Beach in the Town of Charlestown, R. I., Lot "A" and a part of lot "B" as con-
veyed by the Deed from Isaac Wilson to Leon M. Grinnell and Pearl M. Grinnell dated
January 25, 1939, Leon H. Holland, Civil Engineer, said Plat being filed in the office of
the Records of Land Evidence, said Town of Charlestown, Book 26, between Pages
772 and 773.
Meaning and intending to hereby convey the premises conveyed by deed from
Leon M. Grinnell and Pearl M. Grinnell dated to this Mortgagee said deed bearing
even date with this present deed; and to describe in the plat and records thereof being
said Town of Charlestown; reference is made to said deed and the records thereof being
said Town and made part of this deed; and to these parts; For a more com-
plete and particular description of the hereby conveyed premises.
This mortgage is made upon the STATUTORY CONDITION and with the STATUTORY
POWER OF SALE.
I, Helen C. Meikle, wife of the mortgagor, hereby release all my right of dower and
all other interest in the aforementioned premises.

A. Raymond Meikle and Helen C. Meikle, husband and wife, both to me known and known by me
to be the parties executing the foregoing instrument, and they acknowledged said instru-
ment, by them executed, to be their free act and deed.

The undersigned having received full payment and satisfaction of the within mortgage, recorded

Island, in Book No. 27 at Page 286, hereby cancel and discharge the same.
