286 MORTGAGE DEED (Statutory Form) KNOW ALL MEN by THESE PRESENTS that We, JOHN HERBERT GARDINER and MABEL I. GARDINER, husband and wife, both of the Town of Charlestown, County of Washington and State of Rhode Island, for consideration paid grant to WESTERLY COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION, a corporation created under the laws of the State of Rhode Island and having a place of business in the Town of Westerly, County of Washington and State of Rhode Island with MORTGAGE COVENANTS, to secure the payment of that certain promissory note dated September 26, 1958, by us signed, payable to said Westerly Community Credit Union for the sum of One Thousand Two Hundred and no/100 ($1,200.00) Dollars in Four (4) year with interests at the rate of five and one-half (5 1/2) per centum per annum, payable monthly in installments of $27.91 each, as provided in a certain negotiable promissory note of even date herewith. That certain lot, or parcel of land, together with the buildings and improvements thereon, situated in the Town of Charlestown, County of Washington and State of Rhode Island, on the northerly side of the road from the village of Charlestown to the Village of Gardiner in the Village of Wood River Junction, bounded and described as follows: That certain lot section above and delineated as Lot number 20, John & Mabel Gardiner or that certain plat entitled "Plat of Property of John & Mabel Gardiner, 18 & 19, Hoponone - Charlestown, R.I., Scale 1" = 80 Ft November 30, 1952 Rosoli & Leahy, Engineers. Note: This Plat Supercedes all previous Plats Filed herewith - April 11, 1960." said Plat being filed in the Office of the Town Clerk of said Town of Charlestown. Being the same premises conveyed by Harold Potter and Myra E. Potter to John Herbert Gardiner and Mabel I. Gardiner as Joint tenants by warranty deed dated May 23 1960, to be recorded in the Land Evidence Records of the Town of Charlestown, Rhode Island immediately prior hereto. Gardiner to Westerly Community Credit Union dated June 25, 1960 and recorded in the Town of Charlestown, Rhode Island, in the Land Records in Mortgage Book 37, page 286, hereby cancels and discharges the same. And covenants to and with the payer that it is the present owner of said mortgage.
