198 MORTGAGE DEED
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That We, CYRIL G. ROBERTS and HELEN E. ROBERTS, husband
and wife, of Westerly, Rhode Island for consideration paid, grant to HARRIOT ELIZABETH BIGELOW
of South Duxbury, Massachusetts with MORTGAGE COVENANTS, to secure the payment of FIVE THOUSAND
& 00/100 ($5,000.00) Dollars, payable as provided in a certain negotiable promissory note of even
date herewith.
(Description, and Incumbrances, if any)
A certain tract or parcel of land, containing seven (7) acres, more or less, together
with the dwelling house and other improvements thereon situated in the Town of Charles-
ton, County of Washington and State of Rhode Island, bounded and described as follows:
beginning at the southeast corner of said street at the southeast corner of land now or
formerly of Charles Burdick on the Burdickville Road, so-called called fence extending north-
westerly bounded westerly by said fence and by a rock wall, more or less, extending north-
thence easterly following said wall about 160 feet, more or less, to a corner in said wall
and bounded easterly by land now or formerly of Harriot Elizabeth Bigelow thence south-
following said wall to another wall and bounded westerly by said wall of Harriot Eliza-
beth Bigelow; thence southerly following last said wall to a corner in said wall, bounded east-
of, and continuing southerly following said wall to the Junction Road, bounded northerly by
Wood on Junction Road; thence bounded easterly by said Wood, bounded northerly by
said other land of Harriot Elizabeth Bigelow; thence southerly bounded easterly by said
Wood on Junction Road; thence bounded westerly by a fence to a corner of said land of the
Burdickville Road; thence westerly bounded southerly by said Burdickville Road to the
place of beginning.
Being the same Premises conveyed to the mortgagors by deed of Harriot Elizabeth Bigelow
recorded in the Charlestown Land Evidence Records. SUBJECT to an easement to the Harra-
gansett Electric Company, of Record.
This mortgage is made SUBJECT to a prior mortgage of record to the Industrial National
Bank of Providence.
This mortgage is made upon the STATUTORY CONDITION and with the STATUTORY POWER OF SALE.
