221 Know all men by these presents That I Elmina Kinne of Colleton in the county of New London and State of Connecticut for divers good causes and considerations thereunto moving especially for the sum of twenty five dollars received to my full satisfaction of William S Cross have remise released and forever quitclaimed both by these presents for myself and my heirs justly and absolutely remise release and quitclaim with the said William S Cross his heirs and assigns forever all such right and title as I the said Elmina Kinne have or ought to have in or to a certain lot of land situated at Charlestown village in the town of Charlestown State of Rhode Island containing one half acre bounded and described as follows beginning at a stake and stones about it by the highway runs south easterly from the Southwest corner of Elmina Kinne's home three rods running westerly paralleled with said highway to the line twenty rods bounding Northerly on land of George W James to a stake and stones three rods northerly bounding Westerly on lands of the said Geo W James four rods to a stake and stones three rods Easterly bounding Northerly on lot of Geo W James twenty rods to said highway then Northerly bounding Easterly on said highway to the place of beginning The above described parcel of land being the lot sold to Elmina Kinne by the said Geo W James dec 1827 To have and to hold the premises with him the said William S Cross and to his heirs and assigns to the only use and behalf of the said William S Cross his heirs and assigns forever so that neither the said Elmina Kinne nor any person or persons in her name and behalf shall a quill hereafter claim or demand any right or title to the premises or any part thereof but they and every one of them shall by these presents be eschewed and forever barred In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 18th day of September in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty three Signed sealed and delivered Elmina Kinne L.S. in presence of Orrin R Rix John Co Kinne State of Connecticut S.S. Voluntown Sept 18th AD 1883 County of New London Personally appeared Elmina Kinne signer and sealer of the foregoing instrument and acknowledged the same to be her free act and deed Before me Orrin R Rix Probate Judge Received for record March 30th 1884 at one oclock PM and recorded by Savage Co Cross Town Clerk
