Choiniere for the sum of $100.00. The sale was held on the 13th day of December, A. D. 1955. The property was sold for the payment of taxes due and unpaid to the Town of Charlestown, R.I. and whereas said tax has not been paid.
And in consequence thereof I, said William D. Cross, Collector as aforesaid, by virtue of authority vested in me as aforesaid and pursuant to the statutes in such case provided, did give notice for three weeks prior to sale in the Westerly Sun, a newspaper published in the Town of Westerly, Rhode Island, in the weeks ending October 27, November 3 and November 10, 1955, there being no newspaper published in said Town of Charlestown, in accordance with statutory provisions, posting said notice in four public places in said Town, viz: Post Office, Cornhusk, N. I. Wright's Drug Store, General Store at Charlestown, and at the Town Hall, and by sending notice by registered mail to Charles-town, R. I., all located in said Town of Charlestown, that the estate described in said notice, for the unpaid taxes, with interest, costs and expenses thereon, would be sold at public auction to the highest bidder at the Town Hall in said Town on the 7th day of December, A. D. 1955 at 11 o'clock a.m. Greenwich Mean Time (Eastern Standard Time), a copy of which said notice is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
AND WHEREAS I, said William D. Cross, Collector as aforesaid, did cause notices or notice of said levy and time and place of sale to be mailed to Edward L. Lee, upon whom said notice or notices were in accordance with the statutes in such case provided, and did cause notice of said levy and time and sale to said sales by mailing, registered mail, return receipt requested, address to Edward L. Lee, at his last known address, as aforesaid, in accordance with the statutes in such case provided, the time and place of said sale.
AND WHEREAS, no person appearing to represent said estate or to pay said taxes, I, by authority vested in me aforesaid, did on the 7th day of December, A. D. 1955, at 11 o'clock a.m., Eastern Standard Time, at the Town Hall, in said Town of Charlestown, pursuant to said notice and levy, proceed to sell the estate described in said notice, to the highest bidder, for the payment of the taxes, interest, costs and expenses thereon, at public auction to Virginia P. Choiniere and William A.
