Know all men that I Halsey D. Clarke, Mortgagee by assignment, for and in consideration
of two thousand one hundred and forty six dollars and one half paid by George Cornubish
of Richmond, William D Barney of South Kingstown Hugh Dunn & Frank Haskell of
North Kingstown all in the County of Washington state of Rhode Island said George Cornubish paid to
me one half and Barney and Haskell each one quarter each the sum aforesaid hereby do assign
give, release grant assign, transfer and surrender unto said Cornubish, Barney and Haskell
their heirs executors administrator and assigns forever the premises conveyed in the aforesaid Mortgage
deed and all my right title eşit interest interest thereon and the said further Sums
due.
To have and to hold the same to them their said Cornubish Barney & Haskell their
heirs executors and administrators and assigns forever in as much as I the D Clarke
shall not and be able by reason of the aforesaid mortgage any sum and not otherwise
Thus I do for myself my heirs Executors and administrators covenant and agree to and with
said Cornubish Barney & Haskell their heirs executors and administrators covenant and assign
that I shall never quit or assign said premises as aforesaid, and that said Cornubish
Barney & Haskell may enjoy the premises forever subject however to the right of occupancy
which in due course of time is reserved in respect of the premises aforesaid Mortgage
I D Clarke do hereby solemnly state and affirm in my place said Cornubish
Barney & Haskell their heirs and assigns to be the attorneys of all steps Stephen Dimock and
Carrie B Cornubish the Mortgagees named in said deed Mortgage to do and perform all
the acts matters and things that said I D Clarke might or could do and perform by
virtue of the assignment of the power conferred on this Mortgage in all and by the Attorney
Attorney and servant said Mortgage and as fully and effectually in all respects and to all
intents and purposes.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 12th
day of August A.D. 1877.
