473 AUDUBON SOCIETY OF RHODE ISLAND, a Rhode Island corporation (hereinafter called the Grantor), for consideration paid, grants to the NARRAGANSETT ELECTRIC COMPANY, a Rhode Island corporation, (hereinafter called the Grantee), its successors and assigns, with Warranty Covenants, the right and easement to maintain and operate and erect poles, wires and necessary appurtenances of electric current, for the purpose of transmitting electric power, and the right to construct and to erect and maintain a line of wires, not exceeding three (3) in number, between the existing line of poles running from the "Narragansett Pond" and known as the "Union Grantor's and Sanctuary" in the Town of Charlestown, Washington County, Rhode Island, Said existing line of poles enters the Grantor's land on the south side of Rhode Island Road and extends southeasterly. The Grantee shall have the right of distance approximately 800 feet to a point near the residence of the caretaker of said "Wildfowl Sanctuary" and then extend the line of poles on the south side of the Grantor's land to the point of the caretaker of said "Wildfowl Sanctuary" to poles at which is located the third pole of said existing line of poles and then extend in a general westerly direction along the existing line of poles and extend in a general westerly direction to a point where the line of poles is to become established as the same is now located and the location of said extension of wires is to become established until the same reaches the land of the Grantee. Along the said right and easement from time to time, under the supervision of the Grantee, to trim and keep trimmed such trees as necessary for the same and necessary for the proper operation of said poles and wires, and to remove any trees, brush, shrubs, etc., and each and every part thereof that may pass over and across the Grantor's said land and to sow from said poles and wires as reasonable and necessary for all of the above purposes.
