Know Ye, THAT I the said Thomas G. for end in consideration of the sum of Three Hundred Dollars in hand before the executing hereof well and truly paid by Garden P. Goff of Newport in the County and state aforesaid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge and say therefore fully satisfied and contented paid; and therefore of every part and parcel thereof do enactme acquit and discharge from the said Garden P. Goff full and general granted hereby all sold conveyed cuffert conveyed and confirmed; his heirs, executors and administrators forever by these presents; given grant have all sold cuffert convey and confirm unto saiden by these presents do fully finally and absolutely give grant however all sold cuffert convey and confirm unto saiden Thomas G. Goff heirs and assign forever Thomas G. Goff The undersigned haft’s free & cuffert tract of land lying in the town of Johnston and in the state aforesaid and is bound formly, owned by Mayfield Homey, and is marked on a plot of land signed Mayfield Homey et ux on Home in Book No 7 land evidence in said town established May 29, 1845 reference Therefore having then said lots measured and described as follows let lot No 1 containing nine (9) acres 3 roods and 40 Lot No 2 of 14 acres 15 roods 2 & 1/2 roods let Lot No 3 contain twenty (20) acres 1 rood 0 rods 5 roods and the lot known as the hill lot contains 5 Goff acres and for a more full complete description of the said estate reference is hereby made to a Deed of the same form given February to Silas Goff & others by G. Goff dated February 16, 1867 and recorded in Johnston in Book No 8 & Page 168 of the Town of land evidence reference Therefore having hereby making and intending hereby to convey all the interest I now have in said estate to the same person or more lot Annunce Stamp 10.50 To have and to hold the said granted and bargained premises with all the appurtenances privileges and commodities to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to Abut the said Garden P. Goff heirs and assign forever to them and their proper use benefit and behoof forever. And I the said Thomas G. Goff do covenant promise and grant to and with the said Garden P. Goff for my heirs executors and administrators forever and my assigns that on and at the said encumbering the hand 1 and the true said above lawful and certain of the above habert granted premises and for always lawful and possessed of the same in the said proper right as a good perfect and absolute estate of inheritance in fee simple haya and in all that good right full power and behoof hereby to grant bargain sell convey and confirm the said habert inheritance to him and his heirs and assign and that from time to time and at all times forever hence forward by virtue and force of these presents lawfully possessibly and clearly quietly use occupy possess enjoy and enjoy the said bargained and granted premises with all the appurtenances free and clear and freely and clearly occupied use possess enjoy and discharged of all and from all persons whomsoever give grant bargain sell convey and confirm the said habert inheritance from all lawsuits judgments executions and encumbrances of what name or nature whatsoever might in any measure or degree obstruct or make void or diminish this present deed. Furthermore I the said Thomas G. Goff his heirs executors and administrators do covenant and execute for warranty the above demise premises to the said Garden P. Goff heirs and assign against the lawful claims and demands of any person or persons whatsoever to secure warrant and defend by these presents The witnesses of the deed is such that warrant the release of the same Thomas G. Goff have resolution my negligible premises notion, for the sum of three hundred dollars having been received date henceforth and made payable to the said Garden P. Goff or others or decrease into the trust account. Therefore if I the said Thomas G. Goff or my heirs executors administrators will assign or any person for one or for them shall pray said date at the court otherwise shall he and remain in full force and effect Furthermore I the same Thomas G. Goff do hereby constitute and

Jeffs his heirs successors administrators and assigns my true and lawful attorney or attorneys irrevocable in the full power of substitution and revocation for me and in my name or in names or in their names or names at any time in case default shall be made in the payment of the said note or the interest due thereon and such default shall continue for seven days after the expiration of said term of seven days or suffer public notices the premises this first giving after the expiration of said term of seven days to be posted twenty days notice of such default in some one of the publics
