To all People to whom these Presents shall Come. 3 I William M. Saunders of Westerly in the County of Washington and State of Rhode Island Send Greeting. Know Ye. That I the said William M. Saunders ____________________ for and in consideration of the sum of ____________________ in hand before the ensuing hereof well and truly paid by Joseph B. Williams of said Westerly the receipt whereof I by hereby acknowledge and above mentioned fully satisfied accept and paid; and therefore and of every part and parcel provided to execute assignment and discharge leave the said Joseph B. Williams his heirs, executors and administrators forever by these presents; have given granted bargained sold alienated conveyed confirmed and conveyed, (the said by these presents do freely fully and absolutely give grant bargain sell alien convey confirm and utmost unto him) Joseph B. Williams his heirs and assign forever a certain lot or parcel of land situate and lying in said Westerly containing containing thereabout be the same more or less and bounded as follows saying North by land formerly owned by John Foster east by land of the heirs of Ann Billings Deceased, South by land of Genl. Caleb Bassett and West by land of the heirs of Ann Billings Deceased. To have and to hold the said granted and bargained premises with all the appurtenances privileges and commodities to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to horse the said William M. Saunders his heirs and assigns forever to him and their proper use benefit and behoof forever. And I the said William M. Saunders and my heirs and assigns forever to hit and said Joseph B. Williams his heirs executors and administrators do covenant promise and to the said Joseph B. Williams his heirs and assigns that the true safe and lawful owner of the said bargained premises in fee and simple have and [illegible] good right full power and lawful authority to grant bargain sell convey and confirm the said bargained premises in manner as aforesaid. And that the said Joseph B. Williams his heirs and assigns shall and may quietly peaceably and securely enjoy the said bargained and premises forever free and clear and hereby with virtue of these presents lawfully peaceably and securely possess and enjoy the said bargained and premises together with all and manner of grants or other title free grants bargain sale lease mortgage with equitably clearly acquired described and instantiated of it and all manner of grants or other title free grants bargain sale lease mortgage with entirely contains doublements grants executors and conveyances of what name or nature other whatsoever may in any manner or degree obstruct or make void this present deed. Furthermore I the said William M. Saunders and my heirs executors and administrator do covenant and convey the above demise premises to him the said Joseph B. Williams his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims or demands of any person or persons whatsoever forever to warrant se defend and be those premises. I's Witness whereof I the said William M. Saunders and Eliza Saunders my wife do token of their release of all her right of power and power of these premises have hereunto set our hands and seals the 22d day of November AD 1849 In presence of Paul Beland Samuel H. William M Saunders and acknowledged the foregoing instrument to be his signed and sealed to be his free act and deed.
