I, Robert E. Holloway, of the Town of Charlestown, County of Washington, State of
Rhode Island for consideration paid, grant to LINTON L. BROWN, of said Town, County and State
with MORTGAGE COVENANTS, to secure the payment of ONE HUNDRED -- 00/100 Dollars is one year
with interest at six (%) per centum, per annum, payable semi-annually in advance as provided
in a certain negotiable promissory note of eve date herewith.
That certain real estate situated in Charlestown, County of Washington in the State
of Rhode Island, and described as follows:
An undivided one-half (1/2) interest in a certain parcel or tract of land, to-
gether with the buildings and improvements thereon, located and being in said Town
of Charlestown, and bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the northeasterly corner of said tract, at the State Highway, and
at the northeasterly corner of said tract, at the State Highway, and others there; east
erly, bounding northerly partly by said रेनफोर्ड land and partly by the land of the
Heirs of Eve S. Reed, a distance of 150 feet, or more or less, and thence turning
right angles with the above-mentioned line a distance of 4 feet (4), rounds bounding
easterly by said Reed land; thence turning right angles southerly a distance of 150
feet, bounding southerly, by other land of the Mortgagor, and parallel with the first-men-
tioned line and then turning right angles westerly, a distance of 20 poles, or more or less,
said distance State highway thence northerly a distance of 150 feet, or more or less,
a distance four (4) rods to the point of beginning or however otherwise the
same may be bounded.
This mortgage is subject to a prior mortgage of this mortgagor to this mor-
tgagee, dated November 25th, 1936 and recorded in the Land Evidence Records of said
Charlestown, Book 28 at page 365.
This mortgage is made upon the STATUTORY CONDITION and with the STATUTORY POWER
OF SALE.
I, AGNES HOLLOWAY wife of the mortgagor release to the mortgagees all my right of
dower and all other interest in the aforesaid premises.

In Charlestown, on the 11th day of September, 1937 before me personally appeared
Robert E. Holloway and Agnes Holloway, husband and wife, both to me known and known by me to
be the parties executing the foregoing instrument, and they acknowledged said instrument, by
them executed, to be their free act and deed.

I the undersigned, having received full payment and satisfaction of the within mor-
tgage, recorded in the Records of land evidence in the Town of Charlestown in the State of
Rhode Island, in Land Evidence Book No. 28 at page 365, hereby cancel the same.
And I covenant to and with the person making said payment that I am the present owner of
said mortgage. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 16th day of
June, 1938.
