I, Harvey C. Safford of Charlestown, County of Washington and State of Rhode
Island for consideration paid, grant to Lillian B. Stowell of East Providence, County of
Providence in said State with MORTGAGE COVENANTS, to secure the payment of Five hundred
Dollars in six months with interest at six per centum, per annum, payable semi-annually in
advance as provided in certain negotiable promissory note of even date herewith.
That certain real estate situated in Charlestown, County of Washington in the
State of Rhode Island, and described as follows:
a certain tract of land with all the buildings and improvements thereon,
situated in the Town of Charlestown, County of Washington, State of Rhode Is-
land, and bounded as follows:
Beginning at the shore of Charlestown Pond at the wall home from "Point
Meadow" and cove "Meadow Cove" thence northerly bounded on the east by
said wall or land of Edith L. Malley to another wall; thence easterly based by
said wall and then (41) feet thence southerly parallel with said first named wall
and sixty-one (61) feet thence southerly parallel with said first named wall
and sixty-one (61) feet thence southerly parallel with said first named wall
by the land of Edwin Piner and on the East by the land of late Frank H. Campbell, or
formerly of late Abraham A. Safford, thence northwesterly bounding Southerly to
the place of beginning, or however otherwise bounded is.
These premises are conveyed subject to two mortgages or deeds.
Also that certain lot of land, situated in the Town of Charlestown, County
of Washington, State of Rhode Island, and described and delineated as lot number
eight (8) on that plat entitled "Point Meadow Plat", surveyed and platted, June,
1936 by Leon R. Ballard, C. S.
Subject to a mortgage of record covering this and other lots.
This mortgage is made upon the STATUTORY CONDITIONS and with the STATUTORY POWER
OF SALE.
I covenant that I am unmarried.

C. Safford to me known and known by me to be the party executing the foregoing Instrument,
and he acknowledged said instrument, by him executed, to be his free act and deed.

Town Clerk.
I, the undersigned, having received full payment and satisfaction of the within mortgage,
recorded in the records of land evidence in the Town of Charlestown in the State of Rhode
Island, in Book No 27 at page 60 hereby cancel and discharge the same. And I covenant
to and agree to permit said making said payment that I am the purchaser of the same.
