MORTGAGE DEED 279
We, CHARLES W. HIBBERT and ROSE W. HIBBERT, husband and wife, both of the Town of
Richmond, County of Washington, State of Rhode Island, for consideration paid, grant to ALICE M.
McVAY, of the Town of Charlestown, County of Washington, State of Rhode Island, with MORTGAGE
COVENANTS, to secure the payment of TWO THOUSAND (2000) Dollars in three years with interest at
five (5%) per centum, per annum, payable semi-annually in advance as provided in a certain nego-
tiable promissory note of even date herewith.
That certain tract or parcel of land, together with the buildings and improvements
thereon, situated in the Village of Carolina, Town of Charlestown, County of Washington, State of
Rhode Island, bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the westerly side of the State Highway at
the northeasterly corner of the premises hereby conveyed End at the south-
easterly corner of premises of Irving P. Mason, ut ere [?], then south-
easterly corner, bounded easterly by said State Highway, to the south-east
erly corner of premises of Charles W. Hibbert and the northeasterly corner of
premises of Carolina Baptist Church; thence turning and running westerly,
bounded southerly by the State Highway, to a stone wall at the land of H. Wright, ut
ere thence turning and running northerly, bounded westerly by said stone
land, to the northeasterly corner of premises hereby conveyed and the south-
westerly corner of premises of Irving P. Mason, thence turning and running north-
easterly, bounded northerly by said Mason's land to the point and place of beginning,
or however otherwise the same may be bounded or described.
We Charles W. Hibbert and Rose W. Hibbert, release to said Mortgagee all
our right of curtesy and dower, respectively, in and to the aforesaid described
premises.
This mortgage is made upon the STATUTORY CONDITION and with the STATUTORY
POWER OF SALE.
WITNESS our hands this 29th day of September, 1944.

Charles W. Hibbert and Rose M. Hibbert, husband and wife, both to me known and known by me to be
the parties executing the foregoing instrument, and they acknowledged said instrument, by them
executed, to be their free act and deed.

DISCHARGE OF MORTGAGE
The undersigned, having received full payment and satisfaction of the within mortgage
recorded in the Town of Charlestown in the State of Rhode Island in the Records of Land Evidence
in Book No. 29 page 279, hereby cancel and discharge the same. And covenant to and with the payer
that I am the present owner of said mortgage.
