181 TO ALL PERSONS TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME: I, WILLIAM D. CROSS, Collector of Ta-es, Collector for the Town of Charlestown, County of Washington state and of Rhode Island, for the year 1945, SEND GREETINGS: WHEREAS the ta-payers of said Town of Charlestown, at their annual Financial Town Meeting duly noticed and held on the 5th day of April, A. D. 1945, voted and ordered the assessment and collection of a ta-x on the ratable real estate and tangible personal property of the residents of said town at a rate of $1.50 per $100.00 of valuation, and pursuant to the 9th day of June, A. D. 1945, the Board of Ta-xes of said Town, assessed for collection of the ratable real estate and tangible personal property, the ta-x bill due to the Town of Charlestown, and the same remained unpaid, as evidenced by Tax Return No. 1, by Town Tax Collector of said Town. AND WHEREAS Nelson H. Walcott, d.b.h., was reported to pay the ta-x assessed against it or them as r-esented in said ta-x bill amounting to $18.20, and in consequence thereof I did on the 20th day of August, A.
