To all People to Wit that these Presents make Know that Coming Greeting I Job Cord of the Town of Scituate in the County of Providence State of Rhode Island do make Woman joy and Declaration of my free good will and full Consent and Agreement I will sell and convey unto John [illegible] his heirs and assigns forever for the sum of 100 dollars the following described piece of land lying in the Town of Scituate as follows to wit Beginning at a Stone heap and running East by North 40 degrees 2 chains 60 links to a Stone heap and continuing North East by North 30 degrees 2 chains 40 links to a Stone heap and continuing North 20 degrees 1 chain 80 links to a Stone heap and continuing North West by North 40 degrees 3 chains 20 links to a Stone heap and continuing South West by South 40 degrees 4 chains 60 links to a Stone heap and continuing South 20 degrees 3 chains 80 links to a Stone heap and continuing South East by South 40 degrees 2 chains 60 links to the first Stone heap and the same piece of land is bounded on the North by the land of Ephraim Cord and Isaac Brown on the East by the land of [illegible] on the South by the land of [illegible] and on the West by the land of [illegible] and the same piece of land contains 10 acres and 2 roods and 15 perches more or less and I Job Cord do hereby grant bargain and sell the said piece of land unto the said John [illegible] his heirs and assigns forever to have and to hold the same to him his heirs and assigns forever and I Job Cord do hereby covenant and agree that he the said John [illegible] and his heirs and assigns shall have full and quiet possession of the said piece of land and that I Job Cord and my heirs and assigns will warrant and defend the same against all persons whomsoever coming in the name of the
