This Indenture made the 21st day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & fifty Between Wm U. of the town of North Kingstown in the county of Kent in the colony of Rhode Island & Providence plantation Witnesseth that the said William U. of the town of North Kingstown in the county of Kent Who is a married man & Who has Power to sell the land hereinafter mentioned by virtue of a certain Write of Partition by Robert Miller & J. Hubbard Plaintiffs & Joseph [illegible] Defendant In the case of a Right Word of the Party hereby Adjudicated Doth grant bargain & sell convey & confirm unto the said Joseph U. of the town of North Kingstown In the county of Kent in the colony of Rhode Island & Providence plantation And his Heirs & Assigns forever The piece of land lying in the town of North Kingstown in the said county Of Kent in the colony of Rhode Island & Providence plantation called the Glebe Other than the Heirs and Devisees of Samuel [illegible] have in the said Glebe Other than the Right of the Late State laws being the [illegible] part of the said Glebe Or the Lot of land lying in the North part of the said Glebe in the county of Kent in the colony aforesaid Which land is bounded to the North by the land of Wm. [illegible] & to the East By the land of [illegible] & to the South by the land of [illegible] & to the West By the land of [illegible] And the said William U. doth make & covenant that he has not any right title Or interest in the said land other than the right title & interest which he has By virtue of the said Partition And the said William U. doth further covenant that he and his Heirs and Devisees Of the said Glebe shall and will warrant & defend the said land unto the said Joseph U. And his Heirs & Assigns forever And that the said land is free and clear of all former incumbrances And that the said William U. has full power to sell & convey the same And that the said land is free
