294 To all the People to whom these presents shall come Greeting I John Stanton of Charlestown in the County of Kent Rhode Island & Providence Plantations send Greeting Know ye that I the sd Jhn Stanton for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty five Pounds of lawful money paid to Me by Henry Congdon in his delivery hereof from Me the said John Stanton to the sd Henry Congdon citizen of the said Town County and Colony aforesaid do hereby remise release and forever quit claim and convey unto the sd Henry Congdon his Heirs and assigns for ever the following described piece of Land situated in the said Town of Charlestown containing by estimation a few Acres more or less being a dwelling house with all the out buildings thereunto belonging situated on the North side of the highway which is bounded on the North by the land of Thomas Stanton on the East by the land of John Stanton and on the South by the land of John Stanton on the West by the highway called the Public Road in the Town of Charlestown and the land of others And I further agree and covenant that the said Henry Congdon his Heirs and assigns forever shall have and enjoy the said premises to them to their heirs and assigns forever and I John Stanton for myself my Heirs executors administrators do grant and promise to warrant and defend the said Henry Congdon his Heirs and assigns against all and every person who ever claimed the same or any part thereof And I further agree that the said Henry Congdon and his heirs and assigns forever shall have and enjoy the said premises to them to their heirs and assigns 475 his heirs and assigns a grant release all Claims and Demands of any thing or Person for certain horse named the Glass-house 1st Horse and DeFord the sheep-skin-d and Daily the White; I the John Stanton for the Consideration aforesaid’s witnessed given up and surrendered all my Right of Owner and Power of Juridiction to unto the above named premises to the said John Congdon his heirs and assigns over foreverly.
