To all People to whom these Have been Given to know That Come
Joseph Hanton of Charlestown in Kings Co. & in ye Colony of Rhode
land & ye governor Lord Greeting Know ye that I said Joseph Hanton
give and in Concedession both of a sum of Three Thousand and Spanish silver
milled Dollars to me in hand before ye traveling hereof Well and
paid by Samuel Kroger of south Kingstown in ye County and Colony
upon the Receipt Whereof I do hereby acknowledge and by
there with fully Satisfied Contracted and paid and there of and of every
part and parcel thereof Do Donate acquit and Discharge him
the said Samuel Kroger from their Executors and administrators for

conveyed Conneyed and Confirmed and by these presents Do
practly fully and absolutely give grant bargain Sold alien
conveyed Conney and Conyure unto him J said Samuel Kroger
His Heirs and assigns forever one Certain Tract of Land

Charlestown aforesaid Containing by estimation one Hundred and
fifty acres be it more or Less Bounded on the North with (viz)
the highway & gravels & fence where standeth the backbone the Land s
let to Isaac Moore and y Land I improve my self and laborly and
will pond and partly on y the southerly on y the westerly part
on thomas stanton's Land and partly on Daniel Stanton's
being all y Land now under Lease from said Stanton to peace
davis to gather with all and Singulars y Dwelling house out
the Rogers fence lumber ways water rights and premises and
appurtenances to y same belonging or in any wife appertaining
unto him y named Samuel Rogers and all y Estate brought till
same possession and demand Whatsoever of the y Joseph
Stanton on in and to same
To Have and to Hold y said granted and bargained premises prime in this
all y appurtenances privileges and Commodities to y same belonging in any
wife appertaining unto him y named Samuel Rogers his heirs their and assigns
forever to have and hold any other purposes however bought and bequethed forever in
said Joseph Stanton in any wife any how their Heirs and assigns The Governmen[t]
and grant to and to y said Samuel Rogers his heirs and assigns that
that at and above y dwelling house aforesaid y same Dwell and lawfully occupy
of y above bargained premises and and lawfully enjoye and possess in every
in any wise proper right with as a good perfect and absolute title of
Inheritance in fee simple and have in any still good right full power
and Lawfull authority to grant bargain sell Convey and confirm
the said bargained premises in manner as aforesaid and that y said
Samuel Rogers his heirs and assigns shall all and in any from time
to time and at all time forever hereafter by force and Power of this
present Lawfully peaceable and Duly have hold use occupy possess
and enjoy said Demised and Bargained premises With all appurtenances

Judgments Decrees bonds or Incumbrances of what Name or what so ever
that Whatsoever in any measure or Degree otherwise or make Void the sa
Deed.
Worthwhile I Joseph Stanton for my Self Staff Day heirs
executors and Assigns do hereby acknowledge and Agree to above Demised from
to him & his heirs Samuel Gregors his heirs and Assigns against
all manner Claime or Demand of any person or persons Whatsoever
Forever to Warrant and Secure and Defend by these presents and by
of the said Joseph Stanton Both by these presents freely and
Willingly Give Speed up and surrender all Her Right of Dow
and Tenures of third part one and one half of above Granted and
Terminues unto him & Samuel Gregors his heirs and assigns
for
Ever.
Troubles Here the yg and here presents are upon a Condition that
the above named Joseph Stanton his Heirs executors admini
strators etc Do and Do will and briefly pay or cause to be paid unto
Said Samuel Gregors or to his heirs Executors a sum of full and
Just sum term of two Thousand Spanish milled Dollars on or before
the Twenty fifth Day of November which will bee in Year of
Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and Eighty six in full
Discharge of one Bond Drawing upon said love with fine and
of said Joseph Stanton to said Samuel Gregors for payment
of said sum at said time Here present Deed of bargain
and Sale as well as said Bond to bee Null Void and of None
Effect other way be it’s abide and Become in full force and
Virtue in the stine’s Where of we have here set our han
and Seale their thirtieth Day of November be in the thirti
of her majesties Reign George 3 King of Great Brittain etc
