To all People to whom these Presents shall Come Greeting Whereas that I Stephen Roper Resident of the town of Rehoboth in the County of Bristol New England residing in the City of Newport in the State of Rhode Island do make for and consideration of the Sum of Ninety Pounds lawful Money to me in hand before the making of this Deed and indenture for my Sole use and benefit I Stephen Roper of the above Town in the County I State aforesaid do grant and convey the Parcel of Land hereby Acknowledged by my Self herein with all Rights Appurtenances and things thereunto belonging to the said Lucas 020 Washington County Sc in Charleston the 28th day of June AD 1786 be Presently appeared the subscriber to wit Stephen Perry And acknowledged the above of foregoing Instrument to be his Act and Seal And Deed hand and Seal before Me Recorded the foregoing Deed this day [illegible] the 8th July 1786 [illegible] [illegible] To all People to whom these Presents shall come Greeting I Henry Manton of Charleston in the County of Washington in the State of Rhode Island and Providence For the love And Well will and for the Consideration of five Shillings Lce & Affections & Theretowards My Mother Nabby Gardner of the Given a Certain Piece of Land and after her then her son Maltborough Henry Gardner to him her Heir & his Heirs forever to solely forever and absolutely Give Confirm and forever Give Confirm and after her her son Maltborough Henry Gardner his Heirs and Assigns forever Give Confirm a Certain piece of Land lying and being in the town of Charlestown above described and described and described Beginning at the Country Road at Charlestown the North East Corner by a great Rock North S there running North Eastly until comes to the South West Corner of the Twenty Acres of Land belonging to D. Gardner there running Eastly until comes to the North East Corner of the said Land I said love’s Manton there running South Eastly until comes to the South East Corner of the Twenty Acres until comes to the North East Corner of Loderick’s Manton’s Land said Land is bounded Westly on Loderick Manton’s North Eastly on S. Todd’s Eastly Corner of Manton’s Land the North Westly on the Country Road Tobacco and to hold to be held to the aforesaid Premises with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging to S and to said Maltborough & his heirs and Assigns forever for love and the said Henry Manton and Gardner Manton’s allotment and acreage and together with the said Nabby Gardner & Maltborough her and his Heirs and Assigns and that and before the Execution there of am the Sole and Lawful Owner in my Own Right to an Absolute Estate of Inheritance in fee Simple and that We have Right to Give & Devise & Convey the Same in Manner as above said and that the said Nabby Gardner and her son Maltborough his and his Heirs and Assigns shall and May for her love and her then by force and virtue of this Present Indenture Lawfully Quietly & Justly have and hold of me Duly forever Enjoy the Same forever Clear of all Seizures or Suitables or whatever Nature that May be in any Manner or Place or Degree or otherwise of what more Void This Indenture Said Furthermore the Henry Manton & Gardner Manton for our sole ones our sole ones we do the Said and forever Quit Claim unto the said Nabby Gardner and Maltborough their Heirs and Assigns all the Right Title and Interest that We have in the above Said Piece of Land And Certain allotment said to the Henry Manton for the Consideration aforesaid of 5 dolls by this Present Deed we yield of and surrender all the Right his of Power and of thirds of and unto the said Henry Manton the said Nabby Gardner and Maltborough their Heirs and Assigns forever
