198 To all People & whom they Concern witness that some vDit Robert Potter of Charlestown in the County of King's County & City of Providence Plantations, Jordan send Greeting, Know ye that the said Robert Potter of and in Consideration of the sum of Seventy one Pounds lawful Money to me in hand Before the Execution hereof well and truly paid by some George David Markham of in the County of Newport & Colony aforesaid Gentleman, the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge & memory herewith fully satisfied contented and paid, and thereof and of every Part and Parcel thereof I covenant agree & relinquish him the said George David Markham the heir & Assigns forever Two Acres of Land situate lying & being in the Town of Charlestown aforesaid the Line of which extendeth along One Acre with a dwelling House & Curb thereon standing, and bolted & bounded as follow Northly on the County Road, Eastly on a Trash Brook, Southly and Westly on Land of Gideon Howes the whole Lot containeth about Two Acres, the fore more or less, is bolted & bounded as follows Nothing on the County Road, Westly partly on the County Road Eastly part & Land belonging to Charles Church, Northly on a Trash Brook and Eastly on Land of Robert Potter. To have and to hold the said granted and bargained Premises with all the Appurtenances annu- Privileges Commissions & the like belonging or in any way appertaining to the same in due and singular George David Markham his heirs Executors Administrators Assigns forever to him and his only heire We Do grant & release forever and the said Robert Potter does for myself my heirs Executors and Assigns do covenant promise & grant to and with the said George David Markham the heirs & Assigns that at and upon the Execution hereof signing the same the true sole and lawful Owner of the above bargained Premises and am lawfully seized & seised of the same in mine own proper Right hereunto has perfect and absolute Title to warrant me have in myself good right full power & lawful Authority to grant bargain sell convey and confirm the said granted and bargained Premises as Manner as aforesaid, and that the said George David Markham the heirs and Assigns shall have and enjoy the same forever, and at all times forever hereafter by me and others of the said Premises quietly peaceably and quietly free & uncovered both by me and others of the denied and bargained Premises with all the Appurtenances free and clear and plainly acquitted exonerated and discharged and free from all manner of Tenure of primer a alien Fee. Premises over Leasehold Antiques Tithes and other Services Demands Forfeitures & burdens of whatever name or Nature whatsoever, that may in any manner or Degree obtain or make over the said Premises Furthermore I the said Robert Potter do for myself my heirs Executors and Assigns do covenant and agree the above and within described Premises to be the said George David Markham the heirs and Assigns against the lawful Claims or Demands of any Person or whatsoever person to warrant secure and defend by my proper Acts. And Hannah Potter wife of the said Robert Potter in the Consideration witness in corresponding with by these Presents freely and willingly give up surrender all and render all her whole Right Power and Interest of mine in and of the said above described Premises to him the said George David Markham to his heirs and Assigns forever.
