Authority to Sell and Dispose of the same in Manner as above said That the (Bargains)
Premises and every Part and Parcel thereof be Absolutely free and Clear of and from
all Manner of former or other Gifts Grants Bargains Sales Leases Mortgage Wills
Estates Tenures Recoveries Judgments Decrees Settlements Assurances & Estates Furthermore
I the said Coratline Slaton for my sole Heirs Recoveries and acknowledgeth to Covenant
and Agree the above Described premises and him the said Slaton either him His Heirs and
Assigns against all Lawful Claims Challenges or Demands of any Person or Persons
forever hereafter Claiming or Challenging the same Shall and will warrant and Foreure and
Defend by his Heirs and the said Thankfull Slaton the Wife with the said Coratline Slaton
both their Heirs and Successors all the right Power and Dominion of Owner and
Third in and unto the above Described Premises with the above Named Slaton either
his Heirs and Assigns Afterwards witnesseth whereof the said Coratline Slaton and his Wife

The above Deed was delivered Before me Simon Burdick Justice of the Peace

To all People to whom these Presents shall come Greeting Know ye that I
Joseph Park of Charlestown in the County of Kings County and City of Providence said
Clerk do prove Convey and Considerate the mentioned writing Part but more Especially for the Right
of me entirely to convey and make all the Public to have a regular and the sufficient Conveying
(dated 1772) whereas your named absent suffered conveyed grant allow settle conform and join the Justice of
freely Fully and effectively provided you grant allow settle conform and join the Justice of
Westerly in the County [illegible] provide Doctor of Surgery his Heirs forever a Certain state and
Piece of Land State lately belong in Charlestown aforesaid containing one Acre and
fourteen Rods in the Jamaican or sufficiently reserving the following my Privileges Office and
the Privilege of Settling and maintaining the brain running through it for the benefit of
my Lands above Written and bounded as followeth beginning at Black rock by the highway running
North the Degree West until for three chains and fifty half poles running upon the East of the Water
consider to a Heap of Stones from thence south fifty degree west one chain and fifty half
to a white Oak from there forth one Degree west one half chains twenty links and for
the Old Cake tree from south forty three Degree east one chain and fifty one links
to a South East of the drain from thence South three Degree East one chain and thirty half
to a Heap of Stones by the Country Road bounded on the Land of the Donor and from
Heap of Stones bounded upon the Country Road to the first mentioned [illegible]

Together with all the Priviledges and Appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any
wise appertaining To have and to hold the sd granted Premises with all the
Appurtenances to the same belonging unto the sd John Bartlett his wife and heirs
to be his and their proper use benefit and behoof forever Whereas I the sd Joseph Park
do declare myself the true and lawful owner of sd Premise and have in my self good
Right full Power and Authority to dispose of the same in Manner and Form aforesaid
And that the same is at the Selling and delivery hereof free from all former Tenures
Grants or whatever And that the said John Bartlett his wife and assigns forever hereafter have held Use Enjoy
their and assigns from time to time and at all times forever hereafter have held Use Enjoy
their and assigns from time to time and at all times forever hereafter have held Use Enjoy
the above granted Premise with all the Priviledges and Appurtenances
thereunto belonging without any hindrance or Molestation of me the Present Grantor
my Heirs Descendants or Assigns And also hereby give convey and surrender unto the sd John Bartlett

That Joseph Park of Charlestown in that County in the Colony of Rhode Island granted promised
for and in consideration of payment of the sum of three hundred and twenty five pounds sterling silver Dolls
Current Currency of said Colony in the hand of the said John Bartlett owing to me and handed over the Costing house
well and truly paid by Jcb Park of said Charlestown in the County and Colony aforesaid
the Freight aforesaid I do hereby acknowledge and by myself therefore fully satisfied contented and
paid Have given granted Bargained sold yielded afield conveyed confirmed and confirmed and
Granted’ the said premises granted Bargaining sold yield afield conveyed confirmed and confirmed
premises jointly for life and absolutely your great bargain selling alien convey and confirm
unto him the said John Park the said King's Province Administrator and Assigns a Certain Tract
of Parcel of Land lying in the County of Rhode Island aforesaid containing by Estimation
Fifty acres Bounded as follows First beginning at the North East Corner of sd Plot
with some about it by the highway running west upon a piece of John Card Land until it
comes to a Pole with some about it by the Brook then Southerly on the Northwests rail it runs
to the turn of the Brook bounded upon William Browning's Land then Easterly upon a Brown
as the Brook runs until it comes unto the Highway and then so the Highway near north at
comes unto the first mentioned Bounds
