345 Know all men by these Presents that I Joshua Champlin of Charlestown in the County of Washington State of Rhode Island in consideration of one hundred and fifty dollars paid me by Stephen Holloway of said Charlestown the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge do Give Grant Bargain Sell and Convey unto the said Stephen Holloway for day and during the term of his Natural life a Certain tenement or piece of Land situate in said Charlestown containing twelve acres and 20 rods as follows beginning at a black stone by the side of the High way 20 rods south 46° W 40 rods east 13 poles North 48° W 33 rods to a Stake then North 5° E 12 rods then North 61° E 9 rods 43 links to a white oak tree by the High way then South 4° E 12 rods then South 48° E 7 rods to a Stake then North 88° E 22 rods 11 links to a Stake by a marsh then South 44° E 20 rods and 13 links to a Stake and Stones in Jen Watson or called Stones then South 16° W 22 rods and 18 links to a roadly thereto 16° W 40 rods and 20 links to the first mentioned boundary To have and to Hold the said Grantee and Bargainee forever with the To have and to Hold the said Grantee and Bargainee forever with the Privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to him the said Stephen Holloway for and during the term of his Natural life as aforesaid In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 25 day of August 1835 Joshua Champlin - L S Witness W.
