344 Know all men by these Presents that I Clarks Green of Charlestown in the County of Washington State of Rhode Island & Providence Plantations do for & Consideration of the sum of One Hundred and fifty Dollars paid me before me Champlain of Charlestown in the County of Washington State of Rhode Island & Providence Plantations Given the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge do hereby Give Grant Bargain Sell and Convey unto the said fodder Champlain in his Name and Assigns forever One certain tract of land lying and being in Situated in Charlestown in the County of Washington State of Rhode Island & Providence Plantations containing twelve acres and fifty five rods of Land and is bounded as follows with a right (of way) beginning at a black oak tree advancing the Highway Monthly with it until it comes to a white pine tree thence Southwesterly and Northwesterly bounded the grantor to a stake and Stones Green better known Southwesterly and Northwesterly bounded the grantor to a stake and Stones Green better known Southwesterly and Northwesterly bounded the first mentioned white pine tree bounded on the East upon Washington F. Champly (of) Pelicy Croft's Farm road or otherwise the same bounded on the North bounded or to the Boundary Of Croft's Farm road or otherwise beginning at a red stake extending to the highway thence N. 51° W. 46 rods to a stake I stand thence N. 48° W. 38 rods to a stake then thence N. 51° E. 28 rods thence N. 48° E. 63 rods to a stake with a white pine tree by the highway thence S. 40° E. 62 rods to Stake thence S. 48° E. 23 rods thence S. 40° W. 23 links to a stake then a sandy Trail thence S. 40° E. 28 rods N. 43 links to a stake & stately pine thence Northwesterly thence South 16° W. 46 rods to a sandy Trail thence North 16° W. 58 rods to a white pine tree 62 rods by sandy path to the first mentioned black oak tree & the same is bounded upon the Highway which extends across the whole white pine tree. To Have and to Hold and the said Grantee and Grantees and Assigns premises within the Tenure and to hold the same with all the privileges and opportunities thereunto belonging to the said fodder
