267 Know all Men by these Presents that I Daniel Holt a free person of color of Charlestown in the County of Washington and State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, In Consideration of the sum of one hundred Dollars paid for my buying by Samuel Gault of Charlestown in the County of Washington State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations the aforesaid sum which sum I acknowledge to have received by George Gault Broker being the same with me of Samuel Gault his Heirs and Assigns forever grant and release both fully and freely by and behalf of myself in the County of Washington
