259 Know all men by these Presents that I Stephen Browning of Charlestown County of Washington State of Rhode Island Providence for consideration of the sum of Nineteen Dollars and Ninety Cent paid one by me Whereas I Stephen Browning of Charlestown County and State aforesaid of the Baptist church witnessed I do hereby acknowledge I do hereby Grant Bargain Sell and convey unto the said Persons namely A Stephen Harris the Deacon and Officer governs over ordained of the Baptist church in Charlestown County now residing therein’s a piece of land lying at the North west corner of a wide road running East to the highway to the west Stephen Harris’s land South eastly and the Highway North westly and the Highway North westly bounded by the Highway and it is marked with the Old first witnessed fence and it is agree by the said Browning that he will secure and maintain the fence against the said Browning the said Ad- joining lot a To Have and to Hold the noted Grant Bargain and Premises with the Privileges and App- urtenances thereunto to the said Welcome Harris the Deacon and Officer governs forever to transfer their uses and benefits of the Covenant with the said Welcome Harris the Deacon and Officer governs and Administration of the Covenant with the said Welcome Harris the Deacon and Officer governs that I Stephen Browning will and for the Persons that they are from all Encumbrances and that I will Warrant and Defend to the Persons the said Welcome Harris the Deacon and Officer governs against any and all claims of any person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming the same right of inheritance and for the signatures therein contained the twenty seventh of October 1832 Signed Sealed and Delivered in presence of Stephen Browning One witness On the Church Meeting for Charlestown April 1832 Recorded June the Twenty Seventh Committee within the said Stephen Browning and acknowledged 1832 the written and a foregoing Instrument to be his free voluntary act and deed and Samuel Stanton Pp Brand and Seal for the purposes hereon contains. Know All men by these Presents that I Jesse Conrad of Charlestown in the County of Washington and State of Rhode Island Providence for consideration of the sum of One Hundred and fifty dollars to me in hand paid by my son & daughter Henry Clark of Charlestown County and State aforesaid from the Resident witness I do hereby acknowledge and sell the following piece of land described and bound as follows Given Grant Bargain Sell and convey unto the Person and Henry Clark are Certain Parcel of Land lying in said Charlestown in your parts The said containing Nine perches of a line with a dwelling house and other Buildings thereon is bounded East on perches on Highway North westly on Perches on Robert G Fish’s lot the North westly on the Highway until it comes to the Sand road and then Eastly to the Sand road thereon on Belly and then Conrad’s lot until it comes to the Highway thereon on eight perches Westward until it comes to Joseph Moore’s land Yes’s lot one and a half perches south also the Person is bounded Northly on the Highway and Southly on Henry Conrad’s lot Eastly on the Highway Southly on Samuel Slocum’s land Northly on four perches on the Lot of the said Containing Eleven Arpents more or less bounded Northly on the High- way Eastly on Daniel Clement’s land Southly on the Highway and westerly on Samuel Slocum’s land the Highway until it comes to the Highway perches more or less bounded easterly by Lot of Joseph Moore containing Three arpens more or less bounded easterly by Lot of Joseph H Harris Land Northly and Easterly by some land belonging to Steady Mill or however otherwise the ownership may be bounded westerly by the boundary of said Charlestown To Have and to Hold the said Bargain Premises with the privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to the said Henry Clark and his heirs and assigns forever And I the said Jesse Conrad do agree to bargain and sell and convey Clark that he son will suffer in office of the Borrower and will warrant to Robert the veins against the Claims of all persons unto the said Joshua and Henry Clark their heirs and assigns forever Provided However and these Breach on an Conditions that if the said Jesse Conrad the Heirs or Officers shall pay or cause to be paid rent until the said Joshua and Henry Clark their heirs or assigns the aforesaid sum of one Hundred and twenty four Dollars with the
