236 KNOW all Men by these Presents that I, William Holloway of Smithfield in the County of Providence and State of Rhode Island Sold and Conveyed one Plantation known as the Den in Consideration of the sum of Two Hundred Dollars paid me by Simeon Hazen of Vermont in the County of Washington and State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantation. Whereas the aforesaid wife of I do hereby absolutely, do hereby Grant Give Grant Bargain Sell and Convey unto the said Simeon Hazen and his Heirs and Assigns forever one Certain Mill or parcel of Land lying and Situated in Charlestown in the County of Washington and State aforesaid Containing by Estimation Eighty acres or more of life and in bounded and bounded as followeth [illegible] Beginning at a maple tree with a notch’d branch lying on the edge of Loderworth, thence running easterly to the Center of the Corp. Road from the Plantation entitled to the Barewood’s Deer part plantation set partly on the line of the farm now standing on the branch of the River, and bounded Southward partly and partly on the Land of Loderworth now the providence of Barewood, thence to the Northwest Branch, thence up the Northwest Branch to the first mentioned boundary. To have and to Hold the said Grant and Bargain aforesaid with the Privileges and Appurtenances thereunto to him the said Simeon Hazen and his assigns forever and theirs and his as he and his heirs forever, and I the said William Holloway for myself my Heirs and Administrators to warrant and confirm with said Simeon Hazen and his heirs that I shall and forever be seized of the said Premises that the said Premises are free from any burdens that I shall and forever be seised of the same Premises that the said Simeon Hazen or his heirs or assigns that will come after him to the said Premises to the said Simeon Hazen or his Heirs or assigns, that but will warrant and confirm to the said Simeon Hazen to the said Simeon Hazen his Heirs and Assigns forever against the lawful claims and demands of all persons. In witness hereof my Heirs and Assigns of the aforesaid William Holloway, for the consideration above written did I up. and surrender all my right owner and Possession of the said land to the said Simeon Bargain and Conveyed it known to the said Simeon Hazen, to him his Heirs and Assigns forever.
