236 KNOW all Men by these Presents that I, William Holloway of Smithfield in the County of Providence and State of Rhode Island Sold and conveyed one Plantation known as the Den in Consideration of the sum of Two Hundred Dollars paid me by Simeon Hazen of Vermont in the County of Washington and State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantation. Whereas I do hereby absolutely, do hereby Grant Give Grant Bargain Sell and Convey unto the said Simeon Hazen and his Heirs and Assigns forever one Certain Mill or parcel of Land lying and Situated in Charlestown in the County of Washington and State aforesaid Containing by Estimation Eighty eight Acres or thereabouts more or less and is bounded and abutted as followeth Now) Beginning at a stake marked with BF bordering upon the land of Lodoswick; thence running easterly to the Center of the Cross Creek; thence North easterly to the bounded East part of a certain lot of the said Simeon Hazen standing on the branch of the River; and thence bounded Southerly and westerly to the said Lodoswick's land; and bounded up Providence Plantation, River to the Northwest Branch, River and Pageant's land to the South bounded as aforesaid. To the said Simeon and Bargain and grant mentioned aforesaid. To him and his Heirs and to Hold the said and the said Simeon Hazen and assigns forever to these and their Heirs and assigns forever; thus do I the said William Holloway for myself my Heirs and Administrators and Assigns to covenant with said Simeon Hazen and his Heirs that I shall and forever shall and cause the said Premises to be quiet from all claims of the bonney, that I have good right to sell and convey the same to the said Simeon Hazen and his Heirs or assigns; that but will warrant and defend the same to the said Simeon Hazen and his Heirs and assigns forever against the rightful claims and demands of all persons.
