28. Know all Men by these Presents that I Foley Cooff of Charlestown, Washington County and State of Rhode Island do, by means of Consideration of the sum of four hundred Dollars paid by Joseph Cooff and George W. Cooff of Charlestown in Washington County to me, the Right whoever I do hereby sell convey alienate acknowledge, and further consideration of having my Blacksmithing done annually at their Blacksmith shop hereafter described until the term of my natural life expired whereas there is any Blacksmith shop that would be in their Shop. And hereby Give Grant bargain sell and Convey unto the said Joseph Cooff and George W. Cooff their heirs their Assigns forever a Certain Lot of Land situated in Charlestown with a Blacksmith shop thereon called the Hollow Mill situated along the west of the Gorton Mill dam and is bounded as follows Beginning at the Southwest Corner said dam of Hollow Mill extending in the page of the west line of said South Street with a distance called west turning to the Northwest Corner with the line of the South affection unto the Northwest corner of said shop then running on a Certain line to the South east Mill pond then running on said line forward until it comes to the South line of the frame that is now built on the east side of said Blacksmith shop then running bounding the east side towards the North east corner of said bounds with the privilege to pass and repair in road of said Shop in the Gorton’s thousand road and the privilege of running the Water into the Shop from the first Gorton Mill Wheel Whereas the dam owning the water into the Shop and Stand of its into the Gorton Mill brook (so called) Now known as Liberty on the Highway with the privilege of diverting water from said frame to blow the bellows when there is no Captain index of water in said frame and to draw water from said frame to carry a Copper hammer when there is any fast and any slow of water on said frame And the understanding is further in the contract Following the water must be delivered to be drawn from the above mentioned place for the use above mentioned when it is wanted or needed to the above mentioned place and I the said Foley Cooff for my term Certain Grant carry the Gorton mill to said Gorton for the attention that would come to said Mill and I do here and to both the said Gorton and Despense Owners with the Privileges and Conveniences therein together with the Covenant with the said Joseph W. Cooff and George W. Cooff their heirs and Assigns forever against me and my heirs from all claims and Assigns further with the Covenant with the said Joseph W. Cooff and George W.
