Know all men by these Presents That I Simeon P. Lewis of Charlestown
Washington State of Rhode Island &p. Prov. I, as Consideration of the sum of one Hun-
dred and fifty Dollars paid me by Joshua P. Card of Charlestown in Washington
County State of Rhode Island by me acknowledged to be good and valuable Consideration do hereby sell
convey, alien & grant to Joshua Card, Bryant Gaynor, Selden Connor unto the said Joshua
P. Card his heirs and assigns forever to be his and theirs and assigns forever to be his
[illegible] land situate in the Town
of Charlestown containing about one acre and more half done and is bounded as follows
[illegible] by running along a Stone Wall apple trees more north way bordering on the South
[illegible] from there about thirty rods a straight line to a Stake and from the Stake by the Mill
[illegible] road through the range of the Center of Joseph Cross's shop. thence down on the west
side of said road, from there three feet at Stream road brook to the post road,
from there Easterly and South easterly bounding on said post road to the
first mountain bounds or apple trees and the said Joshua P. Card to be
make and maintain all the fence on the South side of lot from the tree to the brook
To Have and to Hold the said granted and Bargained Premises with the
privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to them the said Joshua P. Card his heirs
and assigns forever to be his to him and his heirs and ladies of forever. And I the
said Simeon P. Lewis for me my heirs Executors and Administrators do covenant
with the said Joshua P. Card and his heirs and assigns that I am lawfully seizing
for the Premises that they are free from all Incumbrances, and that I will warrant
mount and defend the same to the said Joshua P. Card his heirs and assigns
against the lawful claims of all persons. - In witness whereof the
said Simeon P. Lewis have hereunto set my hand and seal the 19 day of May
in the year 1829.
