184 To all Betters to wit to those whom These Presents Shall Come Greeting, Know that I John Croft of Portsmouth State of Rhode Island Providence &c Prov & in Consideration of the Sum of one thousand Dollars well and truly paid me before the Enrol ment by James Burdick of Charlestown in said State the Principal witness I do hereby acknowledge & am hereafter fully Satisfied Contented and paid, of and every Pound part of the Estate of Experience Croft and discharge the said James Burdick in his stead of any claim by these Presents Give Grant Bargain and Sell convey & confirm unto the said James Burdick in his Name and assigns forever Purely and of an undivided Certain tract of Land Situated in Charlestown of aforesaid and more on the "North River" land Bounded westerly Northingly & Easterly
