473 This Indenture of Lease made the 9th day of February 1822 between Stephen Holloway of Charlestown of the One part and fo[u]rteen of South Kingstown of the Other part Witnesseth that the said Letto[r] doth with this lease let to the said ten[an]t one certain tract of Land with a House & other Buildings thereon Standing lying & being in Charlestown Containing about fifty Acres being the same more or less Bounded Northerly on Land of Panda Clark Easterly on Land of Elipha Babcock Southerly on Land of Gideon Holloway until it comes to the Highway descending on a highway until it comes to the first Monument Boundary said Ten[an]t is to have the use & Enjoyment of the above described pre[mi]ses for the term of two Years from the 25 day of March 1822 to be & Ending on the 25 day of March 1824 Paying however the said ten[an]cy Stephen Holloway his Heirs Assigns Ten[an]ts successors or Assigns any Way cause to be paid to the said Less[o]r the yearly Rent of the said Ten[an]cy upon the sum of forty four Dollars and fifty nine cents in four Monthly Date having with the said Annual Tenancy seven trees in the lot to be cut Otherwise to be & Remain in full force & Virtue etc In testimony Whereof the said Stephen Holloway has here to set his Hand & Seal at the said Town Kingstown town of January 9 1822 Executed in presence of [illegible] [illegible] Recorded Oct 11 1822 by Samuel a Canton Clerk I KNOW all men by these presents that I Reu Ben Bardeen of Charlestown in the County of Washington State of Rhode Island & Providence, do Convey and transfer the sum of One thousand and fifty Dollars to me in hand well & truly paid by Vimson Idams for of the said County State aforesaid and the same with full Seizure control and to hereby give Grant Bargain all Alien others convey & confirm unto the said Vimson Idams for and to his Heirs and Assigns forever on certain tract of land lying and being in the Town of Charlestown and formerly in westerly aid county of Mass achusets Containing One Hundred Acres being the same more or less and bounded Northerly on the Southward corner of said land of the said by the Highway there westerly bounding Charlestown on a lot of Stephen Stanton with it comes to the Highway did found Highway the Boundary of Stephen Bardeen’s land it comes to Favour’s land on the home by road her land until it comes to Gideon Gorton’s land all by Highway land with it comes to Slate Northerly by Cedarlow Paton’s land all by Highway land with it comes to Slate Bardeen’s land then by Highway then by Road land to the Highway then by Highway to the first mon land corner So To Have & Hold all the above described Bargain together with all the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging in any way whatsoever to the Vimson Idams for his Heirs and Assigns forever And I said Robert Bardeen do me my Heirs Executors administrators heirs at law Command Grant & Quit Claim to the said Vimson Idams for and his Heirs and Assigns all right title interest claim and demand whatsoever and whatsoever and all other aforesaid Claims and that all the same are free and Clear of and from all manner of encum brances of what Nature however and that I will Warrant Seize and defend the same to the Vimson
