Appertaining to him the said Bowie Berry his Heir and Assigns to him & his they only proper we
benefit and Behalf forever And I the said Joseph H Lewis for myself my Heir Executor and
Administrators do Covenant Promise and Grant to and with the said Bowie Berry his Heir
and Assigns that before and until the Expiration having days from I am the true Sole and lawful owner
for in Simple of the above granted Premises having in myself good right full power
and lawful Authority to sell and deliver of the same in manner aforesaid and that the said
Bowie Berry him Heir and Assigns shall stand and may at all times hereafter by virtue of this
Instrument lawfully peaceably & Quietly have use enjoy possess and enjoy the same for him and his
of all inconveniences that might obstruct or obstruct so make void their present Deed furthermore I
the said Joseph H Lewis for myself my Heir Executor and Administrators do promise to
Warrant Secure & Defend all the before Granted Premises unto him the said Bowie
Berry his Heir and Assigns forever And Warrant Solely all the right of Bowie H Lewis
of the whole of thirds in the before Granted & Bargained Premises to the said Bowie Berry his
Heir & Assigns forever. Since for the consideration aforesaid Quick and surrender all her right of Dower
and Power of thirds in the before Granted & Bargained Premises to the said Bowie Berry his
Heir & Assigns forever.
Condition of the Above written is as follows Whereas Mrs Bowie
Berry on behalf of the said Joseph H Lewis gave his Note
of Hand to George H M Berry dated August 16 1819 for
Three Hundred & Ninety-five Dollars & Twenty Cents with
Interest Now if the said Joseph H Lewis his Heir the
executor or Administrator shall fail to pay or cause to be
paid to him the said Bowie Berry his Heir Executor or ad-
ministrator All cost and damages that may accrue in Con-
sequence any Suit which may be brought for the
recovery of said Note Then this Deed to be void Otherwise
to remain in full force and Virtue In Testimony Whereof
we the said Joseph H Lewis Margaret Lewis have here-
to set our Hands & Seals this Fourteenth day of January
in the Year One Thousand Eight Hundred and twenty
one 1821

nistrator were interlined before signing and Sealing -
