Know all Men by these that all of James Hinyon of Ch
stown in Washington county W.e yeoman do for and in Consideration
of the sum of four hundred Dollars to me in hand well and truly paid
by Joseph briefs son of Gideon of Charlestown in Washington County Lebanon
the receipt whereof i do hereby acknowledge and that i am therefore fully
satisfied contents and paid have given granted bargained and sold unt
from me the said Joseph briefs son of Gideon his heirs and Executors Admin to forever
one half of the house where i now live and reside it being the
half or said house and one quarter of an acre of Land Adjoining said
house to have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises with
all the appurtenances privileges & commodities to the same Belonging and
any appertaining to him the said Joseph briefs son of Gideon his heirs and
forever forever and i the said James Hinyon do covenant and agree for
myself his heirs Executors and Assigns stand and with the said Joseph b
of Gideon his heirs and Assigns forever hereafter to warrant secure and
defend by these presents all the before demised premises against
against all Lawful Claims or demands of any Person or Persons
Whatever and Sarah h Hinyon do th[i]s for the Consideration above
Mentioned yield and surrender all her right of Dower and
power of thirds in the above demised and Bargained premises unto
him the said Joseph briefs son of Gideon his heirs and Assigns forever
In Witness and Confirmation Whereof we the said James Hinyon and
Sarah his Wife have hereunto set our hands and seals this three day
of December 1811.
