This Indenture of Lease Made this 17th Day of Feby 1806
Between Martha Thompson widow residing within the State of Rhode Island and Morning Garen of the other part both
of Charlestown in Washington County to wit that is to say the sd Martha doth Lease and Let
unto the said Garen a Certain tract or lot of Land sd Lot measuring and lying and being in the
sd Charlestown containing by Estimation one hundred twenty two acres more or less bounding
on the North by the Land of [illegible] on the East by the Land of [illegible] and North by the Land of [illegible] on the South
by a Road leading Eastward and on the West by the Land of [illegible] on the Southward Land
of [illegible] and on the North Eastward Land of [illegible] on the Southward Land
of [illegible] and on the North Westward Land of [illegible]
To have and to hold for the term of five years to commence the 25th Day of March next
for which the said Garen is to pay to the sd Martha quarterly and every Year on the 25th
Day of March the sum of Twenty Dollars per Year and to pay all the Taxes that shall be
levied on the sd Premises during the term and the sd Garen is to fence the Particulars
for two years of the term and further agree by the lease that the sd Martha is to
live in a House now standing on sd Lot and provide Dressing & Sewing for the sd Garen
and is obliged to Dress & Make the Clothes of the sd Garen and his Family during the
sd term and for as make it Comfortable to live in and at the End and Expiration of sd
term to deliver up the Premises respectable Possession of the leased Premises on witness
whereof the Parties to these Presents have here set their hands and seals the Day
and year first above written

N. B. After the above Lease was wrote the Parties agreed that this Lease should be
ending on May Day during the Natural life of the sd Martha Thompson in witness

Witnesseth Sincerely Affirmed within the said Town stand Martha Thompson and the sd
Morning Garen their Acknowledgments to the within Lease the their seals set
and their Hands and Seals

To all People to whom these Presents shall come, I Ephraim
Garenning of Westerly in the County of Kent and State of Connecticutt
Yeoman send Greeting. Knowing that I the sd Ephraim Garenning do
give for and consideration of the sum of Twenty one hundred Dollars to me in hand
before the Execution hereof of will and truly paid by me Henry Crane of Charlestown in state
of Rhode Island [illegible] State Rhode Island [illegible] do hereby release the rights of
my hereby acknowledge and my self then with fully satisfied contented and paid and anthred of
with every part and parcel piece therefore do acquit and discharge uttery and
from the sd Henry Crane his heirs executors administrators forever by this lease
which I have given granted bargained sold let assigned conveyed handed confirmed and
by these presents do fully fully and absolutely give grant bargain sell alienate
convey assign and deliver unto the sd Henry Crane his Heirs and
Assigns forever Those Certain Pieces or parcels of Land situated lying and being in the
Town of Charlestown one of said tracts contains by Estimation one hundred and
