Servit at Charlestown on the 25th day of February
1808 personally Appeard Joshua Card the above Signer and Sealer and acknow
ledged the within and foregoing Instrument to be his Voluntary act and
deed Signed and Seal’d his hand to aforesaid before Joseph Crop Just. Peace
Recorded Feby 28 A.D. 1808 by Poly Crop Jr T.C.
Articles of Lease made and Agreed and concluded upon by and between
Joshua Card farmer of Millington in the County of Washington and
State of Connecticut Yeoman of the one Part and Joshua Card of Sterling
in the County and State aforesaid Yeoman of the other Part Witnesseth
that the above Joshua Card his Heirs assigns during his Life and of the
Joshua Card Sons Heirs exclusive hereditaments as the Premises his
Tenure she is to have the said Joshua Card his heirs Living on the Profits of the
Farm the Farm now lying in Charlestown in the County of Washington
and State of Rhode Island containing by Estimation every four
Acres and the above Joshua Card in Consideration of the above Lease
Premises is to pay the above Joshua Card jun the Sum of Letter
Coins Yearly and every Year during his Life ?
In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our Hand and Seal this 25
Day of February AD 1808.

To all People to whom these Presents shall Come Greeting
Know ye that We Jeremiah Tucker of Charlestown in the State of Rhode Island and
Providence { } Justice of the Peace between and between Joshua and Some Cushman his heirs and in Consideration
of the sum of four hundred and thirty Shillings in gold before me under the Solemnly declaration of peace
and body in by me Joseph Crop of Charlestown in the County of Washington and State
of Rhode Island and Province of Rhode Island and Providence { } Yeoman the above’s for shares { } we do hereby acknowledge and buy those
therewith fully Satisfied their contents and paid and there of and every part and parcel
there of be Conveyed August and Discharge him the I Joseph Crop his heirs Execution and
Administerators found by these Presents have given Granted Morgan Ad—
