(537) This Lease Made this twelfth Day of the third Month in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight Hundred and One Day and Year between John Berry of Charlestown in the county of Washington in state of Rhode Island & Providence Plantations of the One Part and John Berry and Elizabeth Berry Wife and Daughter of the said John Berry of said Charlestown of the One Part First Witnesseth that for the sum of Five Dollars for the consideration of and Gift of summons said that the said John Berry has purchased from Land in said Charlestown beginning at a [illegible] One of the Lotts boundary on the north side and running south to a [illegible] On the line of Lotts boundary North on the common Road East to Land of Cadbury on George Hazard a boundary Line and then North to the line of the Lotts boundary then west to a Ashes and on the corner of the boundary of several others and bounded Northly by George Lawton Land Northly on the said Berry land and partly on common Berry’s land South on a boundary corner and on some other boundary however I lease to my son John Lawton Land for one suite make up the boundary line area one Hundred and Twelve square roods which Lands above said to the said John Berry do hereby lease under my seal the said mother Wife and her to hold during their lives of three Natural lives to hire Days eight and twenty in all haircuts In Witness whereof I the said John Berry have hereunto set my hand and seal the Day and year first above written Signed Sealed and delivered in Presence of Simon Berry John Lawton
