To all People of whom these Presents shall come Greeting Whereas ye that I can brewing of Charlestown in the County of Washington state of Rhode Island and Providence Plantation Yeoman for and in Consideration of the sum of thirty two Dollars to me below in hand paid and lawfully paid by James Thompson of the town of Jamestown the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge my said sum aforesaid hereby conveyed Indented and Do Grant Bargain sell convey and forever confirm unto the said James Thompson his Heirs forever the tenement now situated and lying in said Charlestown Part of a farm or piece of land lying in said Charlestown containing eight tens and 8 Perches of land bounded as follows Beginning at the south end of a stack of stones by the side of ye road from Charlestown to Jamestown running East by North 50 perches to a young Cherry tree running South until it reaches the Road then running West by North 50 perches running East by South 10 perches until it comes to the first of the first mentioned Bounds to return again to the beginning all the above described and belonging premises with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging in law with all buildings standing thereon and all the trees growing thereon and the herbage and the soil and the land and the rights of common for my cattle then 4 C to convenient and Appurtenances thereunto belonging and the use and benefit of the premises and the land and all the rights thereunto belonging in law and in equity for the said James Thompson and his Heirs forever and the same in the premises as above described provided that the said James Thompson his Heirs forever shall pay some from time to time and from time to time for some years have paid the said can brewing and his Heirs forever and the same James
