full power of solut citizen of said state Detor Reff my self residing in the state of North Carolina citizen of said state of North Carolina and in consideration of all the sum of the state that our and in consideration of the sum of five dollars paid to me in lawful money in full and consideration there fore the state of North Carolina’s deed in equal division to witt between Sarah Reff and Detor Reff in his deed and Testament to her heirs and assigns for ever now for the more fully completing the division and therefore as reward of the of Detor Reff my full possession of all said state to my full satisfaction and content I have manumitted released and for ever set free and clear and by these presents do manumit me release and forever quit claim and convey him and forever him the Copel / Justice of the peace To all People to whom these presents shall come i Samuel Cravel now living in Stephtown in the county of Washington State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations Just saying Greeting: Know ye that I the sd Samuel Cravel a- dules for the Consideration of forty pounds of Lawr sound to me by Deed bearing seal Date handwritten by my Brother Thomas Cravel of Stephtown now in the county above a Yeoman, and for some other good and sufficient considerations now there moving Have remised released and quit claimed and by this Deed forever do remise for ever a- my Heres forever after myself heirs nephews and quit claim unto my Brother Cravel, his Heirs and Assigns forever, in his actual possession and Enjoyment now being those all the right title and interest that I or any person however he or have right to have in a certain lot of land belonging to him in Stephtown lying by Stephtown City limits close by the Same land over on left Calves and Bounds of following North by a Way 114 rods Westerly partly on some James Dickins land partly on Benjamin Handly land furtherly partly on land belonging to Benjamin Pease and furtherly partly on land belonging to David Hartly land belonging to Stephey Dale land and partly on Johnson Backish land and overall partly on Stephey Dale land and’s to be bounded Together with all the otherwise the same may be bounded Together with all the Buildings and Appurtenances to the sd Tract belonging on any wife after Tannings So that Neither the sd Samuel Cravel nor any other Person claim- ing by or under him shall forever have after any Claim or Interest in the before bargained and delivered Premises but shall for ever now have after the by this Deed perfectly excluded and debunked their former any and Many Cravel wife by the sd Samuel Cravel both by this Deed Premises and for the consideration of one pound of pure quint unto the sd Thomas Cravel his Heirs and assigns forever all her Right of Dower and possess of thirds in the before bargained and delivered premises Witness whereof we the sd Samuel Cravel and Many Cravel wife have both unto set our hands and seal this 21st day of May in the twelfth year in the twelfth of American Independence Ad 1788 [Signature] Samuel Cravel (seal) Signed Sealed and delivered [Signature] Many Cravel (seal) In presence of [Signature] Robert Congdon / Washington at Chatblowtown on the 21st day of March Ad 1788 [Signature] Thomas Colgan / personally appeared the subscriber to me Samuel Cravel acknowledged [Signature] Stephey Dale / ledge the above & fore going Instrument to be his act and deed [Signature] Isaac White / Seal before me Deleg Cross Justice Peace this 26 day of January Ad 1791 by me [Signature] Jos.
