459 Know all men by these presents that I Welcome Sucker of Charlestown County of Washington State of Rhode Island in consideration of the sum of two thousand and fifty dollars paid me by Seth Chappell son of Richard Chappell of Providence the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge and for other good and valuable considerations do hereby give, grant, bargain sell and convey unto said Seth Chappell this will and conveys one piece of land situated within the town of Charlestown State of Rhode Island consisting of half acre more or less his heirs and assigns bounded as following viz) North by land commonly known by the name of Miller's corner, Southly, by meadow by land owned by Crystal Hill or whoever became her heirs with all the privileges appurtenances it belongs being at a lotte which the lyster holds by deed given by Stephen to Jonathan it borders to Gregory Browning, Samuel Drawing and Welcome Sucker and Seth Sucker nephew of the General for the said considerations paid me my husband do forever give to said Seth Chappell his heirs and assigns forever, all my right of tenure in the premises to have and to hold said granted and bounded premises in fee the privileges and opportunities thereof to the said Seth Chappell his heirs and assigns forever. And I said Welcome Sucker furthermore my heirs executors and administrators do covenant with said Seth Chappell his heirs and assigns that I thus safely seized in the said premises, that they are free of all incumbrances What I have right not to sell and convey of the same to said Seth to hold as aforesaid, and that I will warrant and defend the same to said Seth his heirs assigns against the lawful claims and demands of all persons If any part of the aforementioned deed is void I the said Welcome my heirs executors or administration shall pay or deliver to a certain person Welcome Sucker to Seth Chappell for the sum of two note given by effector dated 28th 1823 for thousand and fifty dollars and to payable to said Seth Chappell or order on demand with interest Therefore the aforementioned deed shall be void, otherwise shall remain in full force and effect.
