mortgage is the corporate seal of the said the New York Providence and
Boston Rail Road Company and that the same was so affixed by au th.
of said Company. In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my
name and affixed my official Seal the day and year first

Know all men by these presents that I Steward & Howland to Samuel of
South Kingstown Rhode Island for and consideration of one dollar to be paid by the
said Late manufacturing company the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
and for other good & valuable considerations including covenants & agreements
hereby made for some void said company & others of the individual members thereof
to do hereby give grant bargain sell & convey unto said Company its successors
& assigns forever all that right title and interest in and around the said lands
of Court District in the Town of South Kingstown & Charleston Rhode Island knowing
the Estate known as the Bowline Mills and the land around conjoining thereunto
and a lot in said South Kingstown known as Henry A Smiths lot also another
in said Charleston premises the Bowline Lot this said all one tenement
of acres more or less being the entire tenement to run with the said all the
real estate of mine in the said town of Charleston Richard Wards lot partly
and other buildings thereon & all the rights easements ways domes ways and
all any privileges & appurtenances thereto belonging including also any
right of way mine to the company the said Late Navy Co are to pay
for it being under the terms of the company that the said Late Navy Co are to pay
for any position it is not already paid for & make no charge against me for
the period they have been in possession within the last three years
I have granted & held and premises & bargained premises with all the
privileges and appurtenances thereof to the State Late Navy Co Company its successors
bargained forever In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this
22nd day of September A.D. 1863.
