392 Be it known and remembered that whereas Joseph D Willing of Charlestown in the County of Washington and state of Rhode Island has made and executed to me a warrant deed for a tract of Land sit- uate and lying in the town of Charlestown in County aforesaid with a dwelling house, barn et cetera and other buildings thereon containing several acres more or less for the consideration of the sum of fourteen hundred and sixty dollars said tract of land is bounded as follows beginning at the northwest corner of the premises namely Southworthy Wolcott, bounded Northwesterly extending to the house of George Harris deeds conveyed there to the said Harris, Easterly bounded Northwesterly extending to the house of Charles P Chapman, thence Southeasterly bounded Northwesterly on said boundary by one pole to the land of Charles P Chapman, thence Southeasterly bounded Northwesterly on said boundary extending to the land of Joseph Moore thence Northerly bounded Northwesterly on said boundary to the point of beginning Now therefore I the said Charles P Chapman hereby grant and release unto Joseph D Willing or to his legal representative shall have or cause to pass to me or my legal representative the before named sum of fourteen hundred and sixty dollars within one year from the date of this instrument I do by these presents absolutely quit claim divest myself and does assign to recourse or cause to be conveyed unto the said Joseph D Willing or to his legal representative the before named premises by a good and substantial warrant deed In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this first day of December 1861 Charles P Chapman L.S. of one Thousand dollars to me in hand I have absolutely find by way Stacy B Butler of Charlestown aforesaid this mortgage whereas I do hereby acknowledge, confess give grant mortgage and convey unto land situated therein the state of Rhode Island Charlestown Mill side adjacent unto south side of the dwelling house and other buildings thereon containing one half an acre and is bounded on the North by William Tucker on the East by Mill way’s Road on the South by the Road and Mill Road and on the West by the high way herfore I do also other lot of land and dive other Charlestown containing ten and one half acres and is bounded as follows beginning near the road running from Charlestown Mills to the Market place at the intersection of the road between Old Road and the Frontier Stone boundary South easterly as said road winds towards Trinity corner, thence easterly bounded Northwesterly on said boundary and by the Road herfore thence North towards a stone wall, thence Northwesterly and South westerly towards said stone wall, thence North westerly towards the road and to the first mentioned house To have and hold the same with the same rights privileges and opportunities etc, reserved to her her heirs and assigns forever and the grantor for himself his heirs executors and administrators since convenient and after void with the grantor his executors administrators and
