373 To all people to whom these presents shall come it Joseph Ammons of Charlestown in the County of Washington in the State of Rhode Island situated hereby give ye know that I the said Joseph Ammons for and in consideration of the sums of forty hundred dollars in lawful money of the United States to me in hand before the making of these presents well and truly paid by Charles the Junior & Edward D. Haskell of the town of Bristol in the county of Bristol and state of Rhode Island the receipt of the same I hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold conveyed entrusted and passed through and of every thing of my right pure and lawful title to convey execute assign and discharge through the said Charles the Junior & Edward D. state of New York have made constitutes & appointes my representative by these presents do make constitute & appoint Williams Smith of Saratoga in the state of Connecticut my true lawfull attorney for me my heirs lawfull attorney for me my name place & heirs to manage & bargain sell me or secure tenths & or several in a certain farm of land situated in the town of Chautauqua in the state of New York known by the name of the situated in the town of Chautauqua of the state of New York all of said lands commony known by the name of the Williams Smith gave power to enter into & take possession
